Kingston athletes get ready to represent

20 Oct 2024

Kingston Basketball Academy (KBA) wrapped up its eagerly awaited Rep Prep Camps on a high note. With trials now complete, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all KBA athletes selected for representative teams for the 2024-25 season.

This year’s camps attracted an impressive turnout (most selling out), creating an atmosphere filled with energy and determination.

KBA Founder and Head Coach Andre Solomons emphasised that the camps offered more than just physical training.

“We immersed young athletes in real game scenarios that they would face in the competitive world of representative basketball,” he explained.

Coach Andre believes that developing skills on the court goes hand in hand with building mental resilience.

“It’s all about getting you in the zone and prepared for whatever comes your way.”

A big shoutout to our athletes chosen for representative teams

With trials now complete, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all KBA athletes selected for representative teams for the 2024-25 season.

Coach Andre acknowledged that KBA has a proud history of supporting elite-level basketball players.

“We are excited to share that a record number of KBA athletes have made it onto first teams."

"With 25 of our athletes securing spots on 12.1 teams across various representative clubs."

Coach Andre’s top tips for rep newbies

  1. Being part of a representative team means commitment.

  2. You must be the first to arrive at training and the last to leave.

  3. Most importantly, you need to outwork everyone.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to support our young athletes on their journey in representative basketball.
